Los Olivos, Lima, Peru

We made it to our final destination. Maybe I should write I reach my goal, to ride down from Vancouver, Canada to Los Olivos, Peru. On the end, it takes me 11 weeks and two days.  19.835 km (approx. 3% more, this is the difference between the moto odometer and the GPS) from Vancouver to Los Olivos, with a few tiny detours. Distance wise almost in the planed range, time wise unfortunetelly a bit late.

The last few days we made it from Mancora in three stages down here. Three days riding thru the Peruvian Coast desert. As farer south we came, as coulder it becomes. It is still winter here and the temperature dropped to 20 degree. Sometimes a few degree  up or down. At least we had no rain!

Yesterday we came into the area of Lima, I am still surprised how easy we found the point where we want to meet Serafina. Even the trafic was not as crazy as many people told me. Maybe I got used to till Mexico. The driving stile is …. let me call it different. What I really like is like in California the „White Line Rule“ for motorcycles. Mostly here is no white line but this makes it even easier.

So now we will rest for a few days and then decide what we doing next. Unfortunetelly Anne has to fly home already on Sunday. So Machu Picchu is postponed to the next  visit. I have also to decide what to do with the moto. Find a way to leave it here in Peru or ship it back to Vancouver.

We will see it.
