Los Olivos, Lima, Peru

We made it to our final destination. Maybe I should write I reach my goal, to ride down from Vancouver, Canada to Los Olivos, Peru. On the end, it takes me 11 weeks and two days.  19.835 km (approx. 3% more, this is the difference between the moto odometer and the GPS) from Vancouver to Los Olivos,

Tulcán, Ecuador

I know, already Ecuador. Columbia was very nice but just to short. Today we crossed the border to Ecuador. The fastest and relaxed border crossing so far. We got our stamps in around an hour. No copies, no fees. Just one form (the same you get if you fly in an foreign country) to fill out,

Salento, Columbia

We got the bikes, yesterday! After five our at the cargo terminal we drove back to our hotel in Bogota. Yeah, on the road again.

Today we rode to a nice little tourist town. At 2000m elevation is our place to sleep.

Today that’s all what I’m able to tell you because I’m fricken tired.

(still) Panama City, Panama

Three days left, then we’re one our boat to Colombia!

Panama is a nice little country. Relative good developed at least here in the city and the other cities I have seen so far. Black and white are very close, but I think like everywhere in the world. The skyline of the city looks much more metropolitan than the skyline from Vancouver.

Puerto Limón, Costa Rica

I’m now at the East Coast of Costa Rica. I stranded here at a kind of resort hotel. Tried first in the middle of town. Holy moly, this town is different again. I’m not sure it’s the Caribbean flair or its just because it’s a port town. Hundreds of container storage places, thousands of trucks when I drove direction town.

El Paraiso, Honduras

One hour left to the next border. Nicaragua is close, at least at the map (we don’t have one!). I’m surprised we made it this far. We started really early, figured out really soon that to reach our goal will be hard. Damn, pot holes here in Honduras are different, they are deep, really deep and the trafic ….
