I’m done for the day. 500km or something like this, almost the entire time in the dessert with moderate temperatures (around 35-40). I still love the dessert. Crossed the Baja California from the West to the South and back, low traffic, lot’s of curves and the restriction mostly to 60km/h. That’s not enough to cool the engine down!

What I love here, is after every corner you can expect a surprise, is it a washout street or is it a group of (wild?) donkeys ……

…. or just some cactuses/cacti from a certain size ….

…. or a gas station after 235km (announced on a traffic sign) where you cannot pay with credit card.

Here in the South of this continent, people still know to appreciate the real money …. cash!
Hard lesson I learned today. No cash, no gasoline, no cash, no food, no cash …… you’re screwed! Long story short, it’s always good to have enough cash in the pocket. Now I’m almost 200km further south then I wanted.

But on the end of the day, there is a town, this town has a bank, this town has a hotel, this hotel as an awesome kitchen and a good beer …. maybe more then one ….
Oh I forgotten, just one military check point today ….. and I had to open ONE box!
