Why I’m landing always at unexpected places?

Oh man, I wasn’t aware that the converting factor from miles to km is sooo wrong.
I know the converting from mph to km/h is around 2.5 or something like this …. I guess.
Yesterday I hit a trail in the Snake River Canyon, just a short one, 2.5 mi.
I think the factor from mi to km is 10 to 15! So it feels like and not like 1.6xx!
Maybe, I guess I should do it ones more often, get of from the bike and hit a rail per pedes …. maybe … ones more often.
Finally I left Idaho today. Even take a look into a real map and decided a different way down to Salt Lake City. GPS ….. is awesome in the city!, if you look for a post office, a eatery or something like this. At least one of the offered facilities should still be on the assigned spot.
What I learned? First take a look into a map, then assign a route on the GPS. On the other hand, I never had landed in Twin Falls, never would get thru the „Valley Of The Lost River“, never has crossed the mountain at the „Pass Of The Lost Trail“ and never had take a bath in Ho-Ch-Min.

Twelf hours later …. still the issue with the GPS. Looks like I missed a turn or I got lost when I decided to take a look beside the beaten path. How ever, I spotted a sign that welcomes me in NEVADA. Wow, where am I?

Finally it wasn’t that bad, only a few hundred miles more ….. who cares, I reached the goal.
