We reached Peru yesterday. Border crossing relative easy. At first we stopped at the wrong border building. It was the Ecuador  side. Ecuador and Peru having a kind of united boarder. In Ecuador, everything to leave Peru and immigrate to Ecuador, a few kilometer down the road the opposite. Was relative quiet and easy. Only in my permit, the VIN was insert at 111111111111. When I realized it, the woman who did it was already to lunch. Her colleague explained she was in a hurry because she has to go for lunch. She inserted the 1111111111, its faster. Aha! How we can fix it?, I asked.  No problem, I will write it per hand on your page, stamp and sign it., was the answer. So, now I’m curious what happen when I will leave the country.

We went down to Mancora. The plan was to meet me “novia” and a few family member there. As we arrived, in the middle of town, somebody was jumping up and down, waving the arms and yelled. Yeah, there they’re are! Easy peasy. We occupied the half of an hotel and finished the day with food and some beverages.

It was also time for me to say goodbye to Yael and Sebastian. We traveled till here together from Panama. Thanks for the great time together, the stress with the canceled ferry, the fife hour stress with the VIN/motor number and the damaged wind shield in Bogota, the flipped motorcycle in xxxxxxx (I have to look it up), the broken clutch cable around Quito, all the races I had to do to catch up with you. I hope we will see us again sometime, somewhere.

So, tomorrow we will leave Mancora direction Lima. Three parts from around 400km left. When we arrive we will see is there enough time to go to Cuzco to visit Machu Picchu. Anne will fly back to Germany next Sunday. The only chance is to fly, it’s still winter and the temperature could drop to zero. Let’s see.
